Relief

"Relief" is a series of drawings I began during my studies in visual arts. My work primarily explores the concept of relief, and this series, which I’ve been developing for several years, is a key part of it.

My initial inspiration came from the work of Benjamin Plé, known for his bas-reliefs, which led me to create my own clay sculptures that I later reproduced in drawing.

These drawings are done with graphite pencils, using a range of densities from 9H to 9B, on Canson paper.

Over time, I refined my technique to give the drawings a soft, volumetric quality, minimizing visible pencil strokes without using blending tools.
